FAQS

If you are coming to Romeo and Juliet in the park, you'll probably have a few questions, we've tried to answer them here, if we have been unsuccesful, please ask your question and we'll add it to those below with an answer.

IS IT A PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE?
Yes, all the actors are professionals who have worked under director Bryony Thomson at the Rosemary Branch Theatre. You can find out more about the actors from our Facebook Group

WHAT TIME SHOULD I GET THERE?
We will be closing the amphitheatre to prepare for the performance at 6.00 PM and then letting people back in at at 6.30 PM so if you want to queue up for the best seat in the house, it's probably worthwhile getting there before then. The performance will start at 7.00pm and end at approximately 9.30pm.

IS IT COMFORTABLE SEATING?
The amphitheatre's slate seats are quite comfortable for an hour or so, particularly if you're engaged in the performance, and there will be a 15 minute interval after 1 hour so you shouldn't be sat down for more than that. You may want to bring a small cushion or a picnic blanket that you can sit on during the show.

If comfort is a concern we'd recommend you getting there early (doors open at 6.30) so that you can bag a top row seat as these will be more comfortable. In order to maximise the space, we will be asking under 16s to sit on the ground with their backs on the bottom row of seats.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Definitely bring a picnic blanket, a small cushion, a jumper, and perhaps a coat or jacket with a hood if the weather turns. If you do bring food with you, please ensure that you eat it during the interval rather than during the performance.

CAN I SMOKE?
The theatre and theatre grounds are completely no smoking.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?
It's best to come prepared for all types of weather: bringing your suglasses for the beginning of the show and a jumper for the end of evening, raincoats and rain hats should all be considered.

Regents Park Outdoor theatre claim that, on average, 94% of performances are completed each year, so we're optimistic that our three performances will be ok. We will be consulting the weather forecast throughout the week and unless persistent torrential rain is forecast the show will go on.

WHAT IF THE PERFORMANCE IS CANCELLED?
In the very unlikely event that the performance is cancelled then we will transfer tickets to either the Monday night performance or add an extra one for the Tuesday. As this is a one-off event tickets are non-refundable.

WILL THERE BE FOOD SERVED DURING THE INTERVAL?
Yes we will have alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments available.
